From August 17 to 19, 2019, "Panda Class" was held in Da Qingshan Wildlife Park, Hohhot City. During this time we also celebrated the sixth birthday of the giant pandas Xi Xi and San Er .

Preparation for the event

On August 17, we chose 30 children from the internet to participate in the birthday party. First, the keeper introduced the personalities of Xi Xi and San Er while the children listened attentively.

Then, 30 children expressed their wishes for the birthday of the two giant pandas in their own way. Each one wrote down their names and wishes on the signature wall.

The growth of Xi Xi

We prepared ice cakes for the pandas and the keepers put the ice cakes in the indoor playground, while the children surrounded the glass of the enclosure, waiting quietly for the pandas to appear. When San Er appeared in the playground, the children immediately sang happy birthday song.

"Where is my surprise?"

At the birthday party, we invited the children to join in the fun activities of drawing panda scrolls and sculpting panda statues out of clay. Using their imagination, the children created the image of the panda in their minds.

The birthday party lasted for more than two hours, and the children's faces were full of smiles. They not only gained knowledge about pandas, but also got beautiful souvenirs from the Panda Foundation.

In addition, we also held a three-day "Panda Class". In this class we showed the growth and habits of pandas through pictures, interesting videos and models. The children who loved painting also created pandas after ”Panda Class”.
